We are currently seeking 1 to 2 Event Advisors to start August 2010 and 1 to 2 Consultants (start August 2010) or Senior Consultants (start June 2010).
Event Advisor Event Advisors are responsible for providing training and event oversight during the course of a client’s special event fundraising campaign. All communication with clients is via telephone and email (i.e. no travel required). Event Advisors need a quiet home office from which to work and the ability to work variable hours during the morning, afternoon, and/or evening to accommodate the needs of our clients. However, since the Event Advisor position is part-time the position provides a large degree of flexibility which would allow one to work around other personal/family commitments such as grocery shopping, Bible study, going to the gym, picking the kids up from school, etc. During our two event seasons, ‘spring’ which runs from early January to the end of May and ‘fall’ which runs from August until Christmas, Event Advisors will typically work 10 to 20 hours per week. Interested persons should have their own computer with internet connection and an available phone from which to make and take calls. An ideal candidate will desire to stay and grow with our company by providing consistent event oversight year-to-year with some of the same clients each fall or spring.
A bachelor's degree is preferred. Other required skills include: excellent phone etiquette, excellent writing skills, ability to work independently and meet deadlines, ability to handle interruptions and return to the task at hand, personable, friendly, willingness to pray with/for clients; comfortable using basic features of Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to learn an online CRM (Salesforce) system. Must have reliable high-speed interconnection.
Consultant A Consultant is responsible for conducting two on-site meetings with the client. The first meeting is the Planning Team and Leadership Team Kickoff meeting and the second meeting is the Campaign Kickoff Dinner. Most meetings are held in the evening and typically require a time commitment of 2 to 3 hours at the school. Because Cornerstone is working with Christian schools across the country, air and overnight travel is required. This would be an excellent position for someone who is self-employed or semi-retired and has a fair amount of flexibility in their schedule.
A bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have excellent presentation (public speaking) skills and the ability to travel overnight. We prefer someone who can commit to managing 10-15 events per campaign season (20-30 events per year).
Senior Consultant In addition to the responsibilities of a 'Consultant', a Senior Consultant is also responsible for the entire sales process as well as providing event oversight in conjunction with the Event Advisor assigned to an event. Leads would be provided to the Senior Consultant within an assigned territory. Cornerstone would be particularly interested in speaking to any qualified candidates located near a major airport in the central part of the U.S. (i.e. Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, Nashville, Denver, Dallas).
A bachelor's degree is preferred. In addition to excellent presentation (public speaking) skills and the ability to travel overnight, a Senior Consultant must have the ability and discipline to sell.
